Playcode AI
We built the agent from scratch. It shows.
Playcode AI is not a wrapper around one model. It is an in-house agent, tuned for years: it plans, delegates to specialist sub-agents, reviews its own work - and carries real tools: speed audits, SEO research, image generation, publishing straight to the machine your software runs on.

- layers built in-house: the agent and the cloud
Why we built it
Anyone can call a model. The hard part is everything around it.
So we built the whole agent ourselves: the planning, the tools, the project memory, the review pass - every layer iterated for years toward one job: turning plain words into software that really runs.
The models are the industry's best, and they are swappable. The agent around them is ours, and it is not.
Every frontier model. One picker.
Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, xAI Grok - plus GLM, DeepSeek, Qwen, and Kimi tiers. The same frontier models that power ChatGPT and Claude, switchable any time, mid-project.
When a new frontier model ships, it usually lands in the picker within about a day. The agent is model-agnostic by design - a better brain drops straight in, and everything it knows about your project comes along.

An agent is only as good as its hands.
Playcode AI carries built-in instruments. Ask in chat, it uses them - then applies what it learns to your project in the same conversation.
Site speed, measured and fixed
It audits your live site with Google's own Lighthouse - performance, Core Web Vitals, a ranked fix list - then applies the fixes and measures again to prove the gain.
Real SEO data
Google keyword volumes and difficulty, backlinks - yours and your competitors - live rankings. Read in chat, acted on in the same chat: it writes the page Google is missing.
Images and video, generated and placed
Ask for a logo, a hero image, or a short video - it generates the asset, optimizes it, and places it in the site.
A screenshot becomes a build
Have a design? Paste a screenshot - a Figma frame, a sketch, a page you admire - and it builds what it sees.
It reads the web
It searches the internet, opens pages, and studies documentation - then uses what it found in the same task.
Tests, written and run
It writes and runs tests, including end-to-end checks, when the project setup supports them.
It checks its own work in a real browser
It launches a browser, clicks through what it built, takes screenshots and looks at them - then fixes what looks wrong and proves it with tests.
Publish, straight from chat
It publishes your project and, on request, works directly on the production machine - the same cloud we built. One chat away.
It works like a small software team.
It plans multi-step work. It delegates to specialist sub-agents - explore, code, research, audit - running in parallel, each with its own context. It reads and writes real files and runs real commands on the machine. Long jobs run in the background and report back when done. Then it reviews its own changes before calling them done.
You don't manage the team. You read the result.
Tuned for production, not for demos.
Years of iteration on the agent's instructions and skills point at one bar: what would a professional agency ship? Typed, structured, maintainable code - with tests, clean isolation, and documentation. Loading, empty, and error states handled. Secure boundaries. Software you can keep, not a throwaway prototype.
The agent itself gets the same treatment: rewritten many times over for speed, flexibility, and reliability - and continuously benchmarked so every credit buys as much result as possible.
The agent works in the open. So can you.
- 01
Visual editing
Click and change text, colors, images, and layouts yourself where the builder UI supports it. No prompt needed.
- 02
Direct file editing
A full file explorer and code editor over every file - server included. You or your developer can open and edit anything by hand, no AI involved.
- 03
Real-time, together
Change something and it changes for everyone, on every device, instantly. Several people can work in the same project at once - the code editor is collaborative.
Is Playcode AI for you?
Playcode AI is the agent layer of Playcode: an in-house AI agent that builds websites, apps, dashboards, and internal tools from plain-language descriptions. It runs on frontier models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok) and carries built-in tools for speed audits, SEO research, images, tests, and publishing to Playcode Cloud. Built for non-technical founders, operators, and teams.
Choose it when
- You want one guided system: describe software, get it built AND running.
- You want the agent to also audit speed, research SEO, and generate assets - not just write code.
- Your developer wants real, exportable code and direct file access.
- You are non-technical, but the software has to be real.
Look elsewhere when
- You need large-enterprise procurement or compliance certifications held today (SOC 2 is in progress).
- You want low-level infrastructure control - your own pipelines and cloud account.
- You only want a traditional code editor or playground.
- You want a dev-only CLI agent for an existing external repo.
The questions evaluators actually ask.
Straight answers. No hand-waving.
Is Playcode AI a wrapper around ChatGPT?
No. The models are licensed from the frontier labs - the same families that power ChatGPT and Claude. Everything around them is ours, built in-house over years: the planning, the sub-agent orchestration, the tools, the skills, the review pass, and the cloud the software runs on.
Which AI models can I use?
Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, and xAI Grok families, plus GLM, DeepSeek, Qwen, and Kimi tiers. Switch any time, mid-project. When a new frontier model ships, it usually appears in the picker within about a day.
How is this different from just using ChatGPT?
Same frontier models - that part is equal. The difference is everything around them: an agent that plans and reviews its own work, real tools (Lighthouse audits, SEO data, image generation, tests), and a production cloud it publishes to. ChatGPT hands you text; Playcode hands you running software.
Can it work on my production app?
Yes, on request. The agent can publish your project and work directly on the production machine, with snapshots taken before risky changes so the whole app can be rewound if something goes wrong.
Can my developer edit the code directly?
Yes. Every project is real code with a full file explorer and editor - server files included. Push and pull via git, export the whole project anytime. Nothing is trapped.
What can it NOT do yet?
It does not run on a schedule - everything is chat-driven today; you ask, it acts. And it never guarantees rankings, traffic, or revenue: it gives you the same instruments an agency would use, inside one conversation.
Put the agent to work.
Describe what you need. Playcode AI builds it. Playcode Cloud runs it.
